Looking for a night out? Hard Rock Hotel rocks

Liza and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary last weekend with a night at the Hard Rock Hotel and dinner at the Signature Room in the Hancock. We took a room in the tower of the building, which gave us a great view of the city and a very private night, since there’s only 3 rooms on the 26th floor.

But here’s the best part. We told the front desk about the loud construction-like noise coming from the floor above us, which actually ended up being the elevator machine room. Management went ahead and placed us in a suite (sweet) across the hall. There’s such a kick-ass feeling when you’re upgraded into a suite that has a separate living room, a 40-something inch hi-def tv and a killer sound system, all at the price of a smaller room. The squeaky wheel does indeed get the oil. Kudos to the HR, they went out of their way to keep us happy.

The Signature Room was, as it’s always been, one of the best views and eats in the city. If possible, plan your dinner during the sunset hours. It’s quite a sight.
