More on Animal Rescue and Aid

I know that we don’t all have the means to save displaced animals through adoption (although I almost adopted 50 puppies yesterday watching the news about the PAWS adoption drive – so cute!), so BARK Chicago is offering a way to help sans the long term commitment and need for landlord approval.

In an effort to help the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina, BARK Chicago is currently holding a SUPPLY drive for the animal facilities that are providing care for the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina. Many animals have been left behind and will starve to death if not rescued. Other animals have been left at temporary housing facilities in hopes their owners will be able to return in the next month or so as they find housing. Louisiana State University has set up a temporary animal shelter staffed by Veterinary Med Students and they are asking for supplies to help care for all the animals. BARK Chicago would like to help this cause and provide them with the
supplies they need to do so. BARK Chicago Staff members will be taking these supplies, monetary and otherwise by caravan directly to LSU’s shelter site on Friday, September 16th, 2005. We are asking that all donations be to our
location by then. Please help us help them and the others that care for them. The items needed are listed below. Any care package you can provide will be appreciated! Throw in a toy or two! HELP US FILL OUR TRUCKS TO DRIVE DOWN!!!

Thank you for your kindness and your donations during this time of need!!
