Your mission, should you choose to accept…

This is easily the coolest idea I’ve read about in a while. Tomorrow, Saturday, 9/17, 8am, the Society of Typographic Arts is sponsoring “Snap Chicago“, a photographic scavenger hunt in downtown Chicago. The day starts at 8am at Orange on Harrison (75 W Harrison), where you are given “your assignment”. You wander around the city for a few hours, then return to a different location, Butcher’s Dog (649 S Clark), between noon and 2pm. At that point all digital photos will be downloaded (special instructions are provided for film cameras). Once all files have been gathered, a slideshow will be shown of that morning’s photos. And before you head home, you will select 2 of your photos to be included in a special Snap Chicago portfolio.

Sounds like a brilliant idea. Anyone game?

My youngest would LOVE to do something like this. And of course I would as well. Do you think it would be kid friendly?

I would think so. I’d call though, just to be safe. It’d be a bummer to wake up at 7am for nothing.
