Blagojevich Lobbies for California Video Game Law

You know what a fan I am of the Safe Games Illinois Act (aka our Violent Video Game law) so it was with, um, delight that I read on Chicagoist today that Gov. Blagojevich has written a letter to Gov. Schwarzenegger urging him to sign AB 1179, California’s version of the same idea. Let’s export our bad ideas all over the country, please.

Update: Attorney (and game writer) Matthew Hector has written an article about the law for Escapist. (via Kotaku)

Nah, Blagojevich just wants Illinois to be a trendsetter for once, urging others to follow in its footsteps. Traditionally, Illinois (& Chicago) are always a step or three behind California and New York when it comes to policy initiatives like this.
