Countdown ON!
Oooh it’s almost here!!!
I’m so excited. My dining room table is covered in prints. This is the first time I’m doing a show primarily of toy camera shots. Why show professional and flawless work shot with a $1300 camera when you can exhibit blurry and distorted shots from a $15 plastic piece of crap? (Prints will be available at $30 apiece unframed.)
There’s quite a spread of subjects ranging from old cemetery angels from Houston and New Orleans to documentation of post-tsunami southern Thailand.
Come on out! If the art doesn’t draw you in, maybe the prospect of free booze will!
What kind of toy camera are you using? Ever messed around with the Lomo action samplers?
I’d love to come and see what’s going on. You know what times you’ll be there?
Hi Nikkos- I’m using a Holga. But some of the stuff I’m showing was shot with an old Canon AE1 and a new Canon 10D. The bulk is Holga, though.
Roderick- I’ll be there all evening on Friday, then on and off throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. Mostly there, but I’m prone to wandering the ‘hood during the Artwalk. It’s so fun, how could I be expected to stay put?
OMG.
Annastacia just told me who her attorney is bringing.
Clue? Take a peek in the Looking Glass, my Friends.
