Sound of Silent Film
(I normally shy away from me-related plugs, but I’m participating in some events in the next two days that are a little unusual and that I think deserve some attention.)
Wednesday night (Oct. 12), I’ll be quickly shooting a short movie around the intersection of Division, Milwaukee, and Ashland and then taking it inside the Chopin Theatre (1543 W. Division) where it will be shown and improvisationally scored as part of Accessible Contemporary Music‘s Sound of Silent Film. The other movies are all prepared pieces of film, which were handed over to the musicians who then scored them. The scores will all be performed live.
Thanks for posting about this event. I saw an ad for it around town and was curious to learn more. Never shy away from sharing your creative endeavors with the chicago community. How else can we support you and enrich our feeble minds!
I’m going to try to make it. Really cool promo ad too… who designed it? Nice typography!
