Mariner’s Revenge!
This is a rather late post, but, on the 18th I saw the Decemberists at the Metro. They ended their encore with my personal favorite (at this moment anyway)
The Mariner’s Revenge Song.
This is the giant whale that swallowed the crowd.
The Metro was non-smoking for this particular show; there was some grumbling in the crowd, but nothing too terrible. The moron’s yelling “FREEBIRD!” were a lot louder than any one else.
Personally, I don’t know how to review a concert like a number of my blogging colleagues. However, I can attest to the fact that a good time was had by all who saw the show. For proof, I cite the aforementioned whale. How can you resist having a good time when the band has a prop of a giant whale?
