Keeping it down on the CTA

Peace and quiet, on the L? Not anytime soon. According to the Trib, even though Amtrak has recently introduced some “quiet cars”, cars which ban the use of cell phones, noisy devices, even loud conversations, the CTA said that it has no plans to follow suit. Would it be possible to enforce such a policy on the CTA? Who knows, but it sure would be nice to give it a try. I’m sure someone out there has heard someone else’s conversation about the goiter that they had removed last weekend, or my favorite, the one where Billy did what?     My friend bought a cell phone jammer from some guy that makes them in the U.K. for $400. He rides the train, flips it on, and there go all the annoying cell phone conversations.
