A story about Gorey

The November 11 edition of the Reader, aka the Fall Books Special, has an article on the childhood of illustrator Edward Gorey (who, by the way, was born in Chicago…score one for us). His black and white illustrations and stories, in all their joyful morbidity, captured my fascination as a child and have never let go.

A quick scan of the article revealed no insight into the Gorey-Hefner feud, which supposedly existed. Shame that Playboy was filled with Gahan Wilson’s crap work for years instead.
