Daley to Chertoff: Yeah, we’re pretty awesome

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff swung by Chicago to check out our emergency preparedness, and was impressed by all of our eyes in the sky (which we previously covered and mostly complained about here, here, and here). After much congratulatory back-patting, Chertoff said “This is a great opportunity for me to see a place that is second to none” (which is a nice way to appease to every Chicagoans dismay at always being second best).

But Chertoff hasn’t seen anything yet! Just wait if the proposal to require security cameras in all stores passes!
