Don’t Forget to Vote Tomorrow

It’s the primaries tomorrow, and while there are plenty of unopposed candidates in each party, there are also plenty of contested nominations. Republicans, for instance, get to see if they like a method better than drawing straws to pick their gubernatorial candidate. (As Chicagoist notes, you get to pick which party’s ballot you vote on when you get to the polling place.)

And hey, you get to try out our new dual voting system machines (paper optical scan and touchscreen) ahead of the November 7 elections.

If you’re not sure where to vote, ChicagoElections.com is your hook-up. (Check under “Online Service”.) Note that the look-up page is still touchy about exact street names (I evidently live on Winthrop “AV”, not “AVE”).

For the suburbs, your voter info websites are:

Illinois
Suburban Cook County
DuPage County
Kane County
Lake County
McHenry County or (here)
Will County

Looks like it’s just slow-as-a-dog. Give it a reload or two and some patience and it should come up.
