Raccoons

Family

I’ve actually gotten fairly used to seeing raccoons in the city, but this was the first time I’ve seen babies. I would have taken more pictures, but I wanted to let the momma get on with the business of teaching the babies how to be raccoons.

Is that why they started putting the awful plastic covered garbage cans around the public areas in the city?

The way you talked about how the mother raccoon was busy teaching the baby raccoons how to be raccoons remind me of how the mother cat was teaching her kitten how to be a proud, naughty cat on my garden wall yesterday evening. (And yes, I spied on them!)

Too bad we don’t have any raccoons in this part of the planet…
