This show has special significance to me because Scott Ramsayer, keyboardist for The L&G, recorded my former band’s debut CD long, long ago…in fact it seems like a whole ‘nother lifetime. And to be truthful, he did so much more than simply “record” it- his insights, advice, stamina, focus and encouragement were instrumental (ha, I kill me) in the success of the whole process. Many a late night and early ‘morn was spent slaving over the mixing board, trying to eliminate a mysterious “woofiness” in the acoustic guitar, (as Ramsayer termed it- the guy has ears of gold), basking in the harsh glow of ProTools and subsisting on takeout from the taqueria across the street.
So it’s only fitting that I at least promote HIS CD release. Recording and releasing a CD is quite an accomplishment, and when you’re talking about a band this good, it’s certainly cause for excitement!
Wow, I can’t believe you beat me to the punch promoting this show, but good job Nikkos!
I’m glad someone besides me is pimping such an excellent band. The headliners, The Assembly, ain’t too shabby either.
Sorry to steal your thunder, but I wanted to make sure this event got on people’s weekend calendars.
I saw the post earlier today and was shocked when I discovered the author was not TB! Sounds like a nice lineup of local talent. I will be somewhere in Indiana this weekend. I hear the state is going broke, so I will be giving a couple of their golf courses some money.
It’s such a shame that they couldn’t find any good looking men for this band. Such a shame…
I did mention to the band that Alana is coming to the show…I had to reiterate it wasn’t THAT Alana. ;)
Oh MAN. That might have gotten me on the list…and into the dressing room… No one wants to pay a 35 year old photographer for sex.
