Last Lolla Call

One of the things my friend and I noted as we wandered away from Grant Park on Sunday night was the very welcome lack of major violence/craziness at Lollapalooza ’06. Seemed to us that most people got along, most crowds had fun without breaking into mob mentality madness, and everyone was free to just enjoy the shows. The Sun Times confirmed our feeling, reporting that there were “only 13 minor misdemeanor arrests for offenses such as vending without a license and open liquor containers, but nothing too wild.” Way to not be like Woodstock ’99, Chicago. Lollapalooza is wise to make its home here.
