Sounds like a joke, yet it’s true: a woman is suing Old Orchard mall for about $50,000.00 because, no kidding, a squirrel attacked her leg as she was coming out of Tiffany’s. Note to the plaintiff: you are aware that Old Orchard is an outdoor mall, yes? And that animals live in the great outdoors? Even outside of Tiffany’s (could such a thing happen outside of Cartier, I wonder)? Maybe you think that the stroll between Tiffany and Nordstrom should be squirrel-free, but I don’t see how an open air mall is going to be able to enforce a no-squirrel zone. Maybe you just want that fifty grand to spend at Tiffany’s…
