There have been web services before to help you keep up with when your favorite bands will be coming to town, but you always had to manually enter a list of artists. iConcertCal is a free plug-in for iTunes (both Mac and Windows) where you already, presumably, have all your favorite bands* and builds a calendar of upcoming shows. It tries to figure out your city based on your IP address, but if it gets it wrong or you want to see the listings for another city, just click on the City and State listed in the upper left of the screen and replace them.

* There’s also a way to have it check for bands that aren’t in your iTunes. But that sounds like work to me.

Cool idea. I’m guessing in the end it would mess me up since I only keep some of my music on iTunes.
