Insert 15 Minutes of Fame Bit Here

Party photography is nothing new — Bobby Miller was taking all those shots at Studio 54 in the 70s — but what is relatively new is the immediacy. There are a number of photographers out there now who go to clubs and parties, take a couple hundred pictures and post them on their website the next day. It’s easy to understand the appeal, even if you weren’t at the party — pretty people and bright lights. In any case, it’s good to know that Chicago is not unrepresented in the field, that we don’t have to wait for the Cobrasnake or LastNightsParty to blow through town. We’ve got Sean Dorgan’s Klicking and Screaming and Clayton Hauck’s EveryoneIsFamous (and Clayton has several other series of photos, good for when you want a break from pretty strangers and bright lights).
