Ah, yes. Neighborhood Festivals.
Here’s one of the things I love about Chicago: there’s always something to do.
Yesterday, my wife, my daughter, our friend Speedy and I hit the May Fest in Lincoln Square. Brats, pretzels, beer, polka music and people in funny costumes = one hell of a good time.
Indeed, a good time was had by all.
This is a great baby festival — lots of room for strollers, soft pretzels perfect for teething toddlers, and the Jesse White Tumblers blew my 13-month old’s tiny mind. Where else can you get drunk with your baby without being frowned upon? Here I come, Oktoberfest!
It’s really a pretty stupid festival, and even hard to call it a festival. But large beers make this block party work, if you consider a couple thousand drunks packed in a small area working :)
