A quick suggestion to the Chicago 2016 committee
… please don’t spend nearly a million dollars to have someone design an eighties nuwave band logo. Kthxbai.
(Local design gurus Coudal Partners respectfully disagree.)

Coudal left off:
It’s Ugly.
RINGS! DISQUALIFIED!
It only looks good when it’s animated. They have this noisy vibration to it’s animated version and the jagged edges work out fine, then. But it’s OK like this too…
I’ve grown to really like this to be honest. I know I’m weird, but I really like CMYK colorschemes.
It is actually not bad at all. The simplicity is great and while pink is not my color of choice, it will look good in the Olympic colors or black and white.
And about the ring comment, Chicago can not use the Olympic rings or flame while bidding because they have not been awarded the games. Once we win (or as with London, now that they won) they final logo will use Olympic symbols.
I saw that live moving logo yesterday, terrible! I hear it’s even causing some problems for those with weak hearts!
WAS THAT A DIG ON CHICAGO? WHATEVS, STILL DISQUALIFIED.
