We all wondered what those Parking Zone stickers meant that appeared on parking meters over the summer. It turns out they’re for an in-car/cell-phone parking meter system. You buy a $15 “ParkMagic” device, stick it in the window of your car, and then activate it by cell phone when you’re parked in a spot. The city is trying out the system for six months and there are 1000 devices available for the trial.
