We’re all shiny and new
The Chicago Metblog, and indeed the whole Metroblogging Network, got a big facelift over the weekend. Actually, “facelift” is only the half of it, since there have been major changes to the underlying platform. The great news is that means all sorts of nifty bells and whistles are coming soon. The not-so-great news is that some things are broken — please bear with us as we nail down every little problem.
So where is the view option to make the site fit my browswer window? This width is really annoying.
The site is looking very spiffy! I do agree wtih Josephfinn, the site is extremely wide. It’s like 1100 pixels wide. I’m on a 21-inch monitor, and I can barely get the entire site in. But aside from that, I’m looking forward to the new look and any new features. I like there are member profiles now. That’s cool.
Oh wait, i just went to click on my name to see my profile at http://chicago.metblogs.com/author/spudart, but it redirects over to the advanced search page. Hrmmm.
Noted! I’ll pass that along to HQ.
@josephfinn — your complaint (and the same from many others) has been heard and will be .
@spudart — the same, though I think it’s a little lower on the list, under the big layout and RSS questions
Thanks for your patience.
Hmmm… I can’t post anymore? :(
In that case, someone post these awesome HDR shots of Chicago!
